Short Round – Jonathan Ke Quan

Born 20th August 1971, Jonathan Ke Quan is best known for playing the lovable scamp Short Round in the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Ke Quan’s other legendary role was as the nerdy Data in the 1985 movie The Goonies. After enjoying success as a childhood actor Ke Quan went on to play  roles in the short lived t.v series Together We Stand (1986-1987) and then as Jasper Wong in Head of the Class (1989-1991). In 1991 he starred alongside Bolo Yeung in the martial arts flick Breathing Fire. In 1992 he played Kim in Encino Man – the film that made Pauly Shore a household name.

After learning Taekwondo from Phillip Tan during the filming of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Ke Quan went on to study under Tao Liang Tan. Putting his martial arts skills to good use, Jonathan Ke Quan turned his hand to stunt choreography working on more recent films such as The One with Jet Li and The X-Men.
